Hi Everyone,

Figured I'd ask in the forums 1st before contacting DEAN directly.  Does anyone know if there are any
gotcha's with Dean's code running if the installation is updated from MySQL v4 to MySQL v5??

General Help & How-To / Re: Easiest way to clean an OLD Mailing List

Actually, I rolled up my sleeves and solved the problem my self.  I created a script which works directly with the ListMailPro script and removes ALL bad emails -- you just have to specify all those bad emails in a text file which it then parses and removes ALL instances from ListMailPro.

Dean -- are you interested in this ? It works... and it's really fast...

Maybe you could sell it as an add-on to your members...

p.s. If Dean's not interested -- anyone else... contact me for a personal license.

General Help & How-To / SMTP settings for google app mail account
« Last post by kerchmcc on May 07, 2012, 10:12:19 AM »
We've been using ListMailPro for about 5 years and have been really happy with it.
However, today, the mail stopped going thru.
Did the test message thing and keep getting errors, most regularly:

Could not say EHLO.
The SMTP server is not configured correctly. Check your settings.

Our mail is managed by a google app account, which means that our smtp/pop settings are for gmail
I've tried using port 587,  465,  25, 995
And yes I know they aren't all the same thing.  But I'm desperate so I'm reduced to trying anything.
I've been using the instructions to configure email client "other" here  http://bit.ly/vDRvgb

Thanks

Hi,

I found the contents of subject field is truncated while saving into "user1" field.  Any idea how to capture full subject information in the custom field?

Below is the DUMMY/EXAMPLE code and SMTP details which they provide

Hi,

I am trying to configure List mail to work with https://uk.mailjet.com/ because my lists are to large to send through my ISP. But for the life of me I can't get it to work and neither do their support understand why it won't work. Below is an example of their configuration code which I have altered for obvious reasons.

Kind regards

Kevin

Do you have Dailymail setup and running from CRONTAB?

I have been providing support for ListMailPRO for years, feel free to contact me at  my website (below) for details.

General Help & How-To / Re: List Mail Backup
« Last post by BGSWebDesign on January 17, 2012, 07:21:37 AM »
Hi Tom,

I believe it's in your attach, or backup folder, but I would not rely on those backups. Instead I setup a manual mysqldump that runs every evening via CRONTAB. I collect the backups on a regular basis using FTP, also this stores the backups outside of your webserver path so no one can see them but you  :D
