General Help & How-To / Sending error: 354 Enter message, ending with "."
« on: September 26, 2006, 09:52:34 am »
I've been getting this (Sending error: 354 Enter message, ending with ".") error like a lot of others and I just wanted to post a solution that worked for me.

I tried everything I could think of and the problem was with a mismatch between my "authorize by checking email" login id setting under "configuration" and my "send as email" under "list settings".

So the solution (for me anyway) was to make sure my "authorize by checking email" login id was exactly the same as my "send as email" for the list I was sending to.

This does however make it very inconvenient to have a different "send as email" for each list. Dean, any possible workaround for this?

General Help & How-To / test list
« on: April 03, 2006, 12:42:46 pm »
Dean,

During some tech support you did for me a while ago you imported a list of test addresses such as test1@lmhost2.com, test2@lmhost2.com, etc. There are about 10,000 of these addresses and you mentioned that messages sent to these are just silently discarded by your server.

My question is, can I still use this list for testing and will your server still discard these as you described? (I don't want to hammer your server unnecessarily)

Thanks,
Dan

Development, Suggestions / clean up lm_sent table
« on: February 17, 2005, 07:20:01 am »
Hi Dean,

I gotta say I LOVE the new "link to html" message code. In taking a look at my database it appears that ListMail saves all sent messages to the lm_sent table and this code uses that table to do its job.

Firstly, I can see some AWESOME possibilities for an archiving feature with this! Secondly, I'm wondering if you can build in an admin interface for cleaning up the lm_sent table? I can see it growing quite large for users who send a lot of messages.

What do you think?

Thanks,
Dan

Development, Suggestions / WYSIWYG html editor
« on: July 06, 2004, 09:32:58 am »
Hi Dean,

Great program! One feature that would be great is a WYSIWYG html editor for creating html emails. It's easy for me to create html emails since I can use a program like FrontPage and I know what I'm doing, but some less experienced users probably have no clue what html even is. I've experienced this first hand with my web design customers!

I think the addition of this feature would make it easier for web developers to include ListMail Pro in their service offerings when a client says they want to deliver a newsletter from their website. And this will increase your sales.

Here are some links to some WYSIWYG html editors that you could incorporate into your application.
