General Help & How-To / Any news on the 2.00 update yet guys?
« on: April 23, 2008, 07:41:12 am »
Dean,

Can you please give us some "update" on the "update"  :D .

I would imagine many people would like this information...I don't feel I need to reiterate all the concerns.

It has been quite a while and from your past messages I would have thought it would have been released by now.

Thanks!

Customization, Integration / Find which followups have the most removes

DW,

Thanks for getting back!  The program just the way it is works really well for me...even though there are some features I would like added.

You have personally been so helpful to me and many others... I just want to thank you again and look forward to the updates!!

DW,

You are so good at helping so many people with their individual requests and customized scripts...so here is my question which has been asked before in different ways:

Can you incorporate most of these "custom scripts" you have written into the "ListMail" program?   I would imagine many of your users/clients could use these features or you could use the new features as "selling points".

BTW,  when can we expect the new upgrade  :D ...

Thanks for everything!!!!

Email Web Hosting / DreamHost is no longer recommended
« on: May 22, 2007, 03:45:40 pm »
It has gotten worst in the last few months...

Dean has helped with my setup and it was doing fairly well...now Dreamhost has made their outgoing email policy even more strict.  Only 100 emails per hour....I need to change hosting company's...quickly!!

General Help & How-To / Free installation on DreamHost?
« on: January 02, 2007, 08:48:38 pm »
Dean,

I was not aware of DreamHost's policy with AOL emails.  Now that explains all of my bounced emails from my aol's subscribers.

What do you recommend using with LMP as of today?

Thanks.

Dean,

You had discussed putting in this feature a few months ago...and you said that it would be implemented.  :D

Still wondering if this feature will be added soon...

Thanks!

Development, Suggestions / BUG? Inserting Followups - Input Needed
« on: August 13, 2006, 08:07:14 pm »
DW,

I haven't found an exact way to duplicate but I haven't really worked at it.  I am still having the problem...but when it happens I just get out of the"followup" section and then go back to the "followup" section and it seems to work again...not sure why, but it sort of resets itself.

I love the feature and it is working, just not 100%...but I still love it.  It is definitely not at the top of my list of things for you to work on...

Development, Suggestions / Find and Schedule an Open Mailing Date...
« on: August 11, 2006, 04:21:55 pm »
Wow!

I have been trying to think of a way to word this exact question...but I wasn't sure if anyone else would appreciate or want such a feature.

Obviously Brett, we both see the reasoning behind this feature request and how any "email marketer" could benefit from using it...

I am so glad you asked in such a good way  :D  .

One more thing and sorry for posting it here but...DW, is there any update on "Follow Ups or Scheduled Emails-Set by "total" days" - http://listmailpro.com/forum/index.php?topic=1031.0

Thanks,

Don

General Help & How-To / Easy Emails
« on: July 21, 2006, 09:36:29 am »
I have to add my 2 cents and agree totally with Brett and Mike.  I tried using "pretty" html emails in the past...and after 1000's of emails later, I found that short, informative, and depending on what your selling "from the heart" emails in "text only" format will give you the best return.

People want value...don't try to sell...show value and they will buy or use your services.  Make your emails look and sound like you are writing them at that very moment or that you are sending valuable information that you have gathered.

Have fun!

Development, Suggestions / BUG? Inserting Followups - Input Needed
« on: July 18, 2006, 09:08:32 pm »
Hello,

I am having sporadic problems with inserting followups.  I keep getting duplicates when I am trying to insert a followup between existing followups.  The first time I insert everything works as planned, but after the first instance of inserting is when the problem starts and I start getting duplicates.

Then when I try to delete the duplicate, the new followup gets deleted but the duplicate is replaced by one of the old followups, so there is still a duplicate.  Again, this is not every time but it always happens after just a few instances of inserting followups (at least for me).

That's my 2 cents...

General Help & How-To / The Best Host for ListMail???
« on: July 14, 2006, 03:15:31 pm »
Quote
Don, if you will be emailing just a few thousand per day I might again be able to recommend DreamHost. While a number of my clients have been 'shut down without warning' because they emailed tens of thousands of users per day, some have been reinstated with higher per-day email limits up to several thousand. Their policy is that all users must have "double opted-in". I recommend contacting their tech support to see if you can get an account that will accomodate your list(s). I could also offer hosting for a reduced rate of about $10/mo for such a list.

Dean,

Since I already use DreamHost, I will try moving "ListMail" to them and see what my results are.  I will keep you up to date with the results.

Thanks,

Don

General Help & How-To / The Best Host for ListMail???
« on: July 13, 2006, 11:01:37 am »
Brett,

I know this host wouldn't work for a lot of people such as yourself...in fact I may be starting a different company which I will need more "capacity"...but for the time, I just need reliability for a few thousand emails a day at most.

I am curious how DW will answer your questions.  If DW's servers are tuned to work with ListMail (is what I suspect) than just for the sake of simplicity, his service would seem great.  And any issues that may arise could be easily looked at by him personally :-).

Thanks for the reply!

~Don
