General Help & How-To / Mail Sending Progress

Since I have moved List Mail Pro to a VPS with Plesk, when I send out a broadcast, List Mail doesn't display the sending progress numbers until it's done sending the broadcast and it then shows the progress numbers like 25 of 25 emails sent.

Is there something that needs to be set on the server for this to work correctly?

General Help & How-To / Emails Stuck in Server Queue

I recently changed to a VPS with the Plesk Control Panel. Last night, I sceduled emails to go out to some of my lists. This morning, I logged in to ListMail and it said there were mails left in qeue and I clicked the resume button. There were about 400 of them and it would send about 100, then stop and I had to click resume about 4 or 5 times to get them all to send.

After that, I logged into my vps and went to the mail logs in plesk and there were quite a few email still in there. Looks like they are eventually sending, but 4 hours later there are still 11 emails left.

I emailed my hosting company and they said they checked the logs and everything and all was working as it should.

Any ideas what could be causing this?

General Help & How-To / ListMailPro Keeps Sending Same Message

ListMailPro keeps sending the same email that I sent out on Sunday. It has done this twice this week. I have no scheduled emails set. The only reason that I know that this is happening is from one of my own email addresses that I use to subscribe to each list to test. I have received the same email twice this week that I sent on Sunday. I also imported several users from another mailing list script that I was using and am receiving a ton of the user has been unsubscribed because of bouncing, which most of the address are yahoo addresses and I know that yahoo has gotten even more strict lately.

What could be the cause of this?

Email Web Hosting / 1&1 VPS?

Hello,

I have been looking at 1&1's virtual private server plans and was wondering if anyone here has any experience with them? Is a vps similar to having your own dedicated server? Do they usually have the same email limits as on a shared plan?

I have emailed them with my questions and thought I would ask here while I await their reply.

General Help & How-To / Unable To Connect

I just realized I haven't received the daily email summaries that I have been receiving each night when Dailymail runs. I logged into ListMail and seen that some of the automated followups haven't been sent for the last couple of days from the notice displayed at the top of the admin page. When I click the resume button, I then get the following error message:

Connecting to SMTP server...
Warning: fsockopen() [function.fsockopen]: unable to connect to localhost:25 in /home/*****/public_html/ar/admin.php on line 953
Server not found!
Failed.

Check your SMTP settings!
Your message has been saved for later.

I haven't changed anything lately and everything has been working fine up until the last couple of days. Is this an error message that could be caused by a change the web host made?

General Help & How-To / Message Codes Question

Is it possible to use message codes within a custom text message code? I want to create a !header and !footer message codes and use the first name, subscribe date, unsubscribe, etc. codes in them.
