Server Optimization, Tweaks / 1and1.com
« on: September 13, 2016, 06:19:15 am »
Hi, saw a recommendation for the server 1nad1.com and was wondering if this was current and are they still recommended.

I am using servient at present and find all my hotmail and outlook addressed emails are not being delivered because an ip address associated with them is on their black list.

I have 5 sites and send out a dozen emails a day at present with the occasional blast of 10 to 40K emails and am looking for a good priced server that will ensure my emails are delivered.

Any other suggestions??
Thanks Steve

General Help & How-To / Re: SMTP with Amazon SES Problem
« on: August 24, 2016, 04:23:41 pm »
FYI. If anyone is interested Amazon SES is not very friendly if you run a commercial operation. I had my account suspended saying I didn't conform with their terms of service. When I looked back over them it says that you can't do any commercial or advertising mailing through it. If you are and it is working it might just be a matter of time or a few people marking your emails as spam until you are suspended as I was good for some months before it happened and they didn't want to look at reconsidering even though I follow all the rules and only mail people who sign up with unsubscribe links on all my mails.

General Help & How-To / First Name 'undefined'
« on: August 24, 2016, 04:16:52 pm »
Can anyone tell me why when someone signs up to my list they get a first name of 'undefined' They obviously don't enter this themselves as its happening to everyone. Appreciate any light you can shine on it for me.

Thanks Steve

Hi again,

We get the following error while running dailymail:

Incorrect integer value: '' for column 'id' at row 1

Any thoughts on what might be the issue here? Looks like a database problem.

We are running the latest version of ListMail and PHP 5.4 and MySQL 5.6, it used to work on MySQL 5.5, but the new server is running 5.6.

Have you had any experience running Listmail on v5.6?

Thanks again!

Is there any update or upgrades for listmail pro as I am wondering how long it will be before servers are updated to the point where the software doesn't work any more.  :(

Thanks

General Help & How-To / Re: Daily Mail not sending
« on: March 22, 2011, 04:12:22 am »
Thanks Brett, the guy who runs my sites on his server is looking into it initially. He said he found the www missing from the web address and put that in then it worked one night but has stopped again. I will see what he comes back with and contact you if he can't sort it.

Thanks

General Help & How-To / Daily Mail not sending
« on: March 15, 2011, 05:12:57 pm »
Hi, I have a problem in that my daily mail isn't sending.

It started as when I would go into listmail I would see it lined up and I would have to click resume to send it . That went on for a month or two. Then now it just doesn't line it up or send it. I can send it manually.

Do you think that would be a server issue or a listmail one?

Thanks
Steve

General Help & How-To / Re: Q on Follow ups

Great thanks.  :D

You would just do a send email out to everyone on your list and then set that same message up in the welcome message sent on sign up section in the list settings so everyone joining that list from that point would get it automatically on signup.

I think that is what you are asking.

I would say there isn't anything I haven't been able to do with LMPro except set an exact time for a follow up or email to go out.

General Help & How-To / Q on Follow ups
« on: November 08, 2010, 12:43:48 pm »
Can anyone tell me if there is a limit to the number of follow ups I can put on a list. I have a subscription list I want to send around 100 followups to over 12 months, will that be a problem for the software?

Thanks

General Help & How-To / Giving up?
« on: March 14, 2009, 07:47:13 pm »
The notice in red on the site make me think he is away on purpose and I thought perhaps a holiday was the answer. If it was an accident or somthing was unplanned I doubt that message would be there.

I want to move my hosting to a site I have better contact with but I guess I need Deans action to help me do that and can't contact him. Is there any other way anyone knows of I can move the mail program without his input?

General Help & How-To / No response from pager
« on: March 13, 2009, 07:30:12 am »
Hi, I paged Dean 24 hours ago but so far no response.

Has anyone tried paying the fee for him to do work to get their software up and running again? . It does say above 'due to overwhelming paid work.....' This might show one way to find out if he is around or not. You book the jobs with a form an cc from what I remember.

Perhaps this is his way of getting away for a holiday or something.

General Help & How-To / My site hosted by Dean is still up.
« on: March 11, 2009, 07:39:01 am »
Not sure why you guys are down but my site is also hosted by Dean and still up so his server can't be down. I have his pager number so will send a message and see if he responds.
