General Help & How-To / Crontab Error
« on: January 19, 2008, 04:39:50 am »
DW,

I am setting up my cron for my dailymail as you have it shown in the help topics, which is:

/usr/bin/wget -O /dev/null -T 0 http://mydomain.com/mail/dailymail.php?pw=password 1> /dev/null 2> /dev/null

and got this error:

/usr/bin/crontab permissions are wrong. Please set to 4755

What is 4755, and how can I fix it?

any help you can give me will be appreciated.

Neil

General Help & How-To / Signup Error
« on: May 13, 2007, 03:19:39 am »
Hi DW,

I don't know if you watch for "Support Completed" replies or not.

I just replied to one of mine in that category.

You can find it here:  http://listmailpro.com/forum/index.php?topic=1806.msg7649

Please take a look at it for me and let me know if you have any suggestions to
fix my signup error.

Thanks for your help,

Neil Adams

General Help & How-To / Signup Error
« on: April 12, 2007, 09:38:48 am »
I am using LMP on a Thank You page.  The signup form has these fields:
First Name
Last Name
Email Address
plus 8 Custom Fields

I have setup error messages for all of my custom fields.

I have tested the form online, the working preview, and on my laptop.  On all three, I get the following error on the signup.php page.

There were errors with your subscription to our mailing list.

The error messages are as follows:

Please press the back button on your browser and re-enter your information.

This makes no sense to me.

I made another test, which was to leave out the @ in my email address.  This time I got the appropriate error:
There were errors with your subscription to our mailing list.

The error messages are as follows:
The email address you entered is in an incorrect format.

Please press the back button on your browser and re-enter your information.

This site is scheduled to go live in the next few days and this form is crucial to have ready to take orders.

I hope there is a quick fix to this problem that someone  can tell me how to do it.

Thanks,

Neil

I just finished installing LMP on 2 domains.  The installation went well and setup the "Configuration" the same on both of them.

When I clicked on "Test Mail Settings," Domain #1 came out like this:
[SMTP Server]
Is enabled?  Yes
Connecting to SMTP server.. Connected!
Sending test email to remote address.. Success!

and Domain #2 came out like this:
[SMTP Server]
Is enabled?  Yes
Connecting to SMTP server.. Connected!
Sending test email to remote address.. Problem setting receiver to Remote Test Address
The SMTP server is not configured correctly. Check your settings

What should I try to do to get the second domain to work?

The Bounce function worked properly on both of them.

Thanks in advance for your help,

Neil
